About Unit Program - eHealth Queensland:
eHealth Queensland is one of the largest Information Communication Technology operations in the state. It is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of information systems and technologies so that Queensland Health employees and health providers have access to information that supports the delivery of health care.

The eHITS team manage the replacement of Queensland Health’s foundation ICT infrastructure and work collaboratively with Queensland Health’s Hospital and Health Services (HHSs) and agencies to plan, design and deliver new (Greenfield) and upgraded (Brownfield) ICT infrastructure that meets future health service requirements and provides value for money.

The role:  
Working in closely with eHealth Queensland partners you will establish and manage a pipeline of small to large scale ICT projects integrating infrastructure solutions into new and existing health facilities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, manage and provide well-informed advice and guidance to customers in QH Divisions, Hospital and Health Services and Shared Service Partners.
  • Identify new and emerging technologies and products and assess their relevance and potential value as business enablers.
  • Prepare briefing, submissions and other correspondence relevant to the operation of the unit.
  • Develop and implement frameworks and systems for managing the current and future New Hospitals projects pipeline including undertaking early engagement activities, and developing and costing statements of work.
  • Ensure that the services provided by the eHITS are communicated to and understood by key internal and external customers.

The successful applicant to this role will bring a strong history of effectively delivering successful small to large scale projects; you will be committed to achieving positive service outcomes for customer whilst effectively managing conflicting demands within tight timeframes.

You will have the ability to develop and maintain effective networks and relationships across both internal and external stakeholder groups through the use of clear and concise oral and written communication techniques.

You must be prepared to travel onsite where required, which may include overnight stays.  Appropriate remuneration under the award will apply.
