About the role

This position provides clinical leadership through the development and delivery of specialist alcohol and drug programs / interventions to clients of the Prison Mental Health Service (PMHS) with concurrent substance use and mental health problems (dual diagnosis) to enhance the availability and access to appropriate early intervention and treatment options. In addition, the PMHS works collaboratively with a range of other government and non-government agencies, including Offender Health Services (OHS) and Queensland Corrective Services in the ongoing care and treatment of persons with  a dual diagnosis.

This position may be required to provide dual diagnosis services to correctional centres between the hours of 8am and 4.30pm on weekends.

This role is designated as ‘Vaccination Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role’. You must be able to provide evidence that you either:

  •  have been vaccinated against the VPD's listed in the role description; or
  • you are not susceptible to the VPD's listed in the role description.
