Your opportunity:

The Integrated Workforce Management (IWFM) Project seeks to improve the roster to pay process and deliver positive outcomes to support enhanced workforce management, driving the delivery of tangible benefits for both Hospital and Health Services (HHS) and the Department of Health through improved tools, processes and access to real-time information where and when it is required.

The IWFM project will partner with HHS and the Department of Health to implement a new roster to pay business operating model supported by the rollout of electronic rostering and self-service by leveraging the existing Workbrain and SAP myHR solutions. This initiative is considered a very high priority by the Hospital and Health Services seeking to bring Queensland Health’s workforce management practices in line with what could be reasonably expected of a modern-day organisation.

As the Project Business Manager you will lead a team providing support services to the Project Director and Project streams/teams to optimise the successful delivery of a large scale, complex project.  You will be part of an ICT enabled business change project focussed on enhancing Queensland Health’s workforce management capability.

The candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated extensive knowledge and experience in the interpretation, and application of public sector financial management, human resource and procurement legislation, policies and frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing the delivery of operational support functions listed under “your role.”
  • Demonstrated experience in the coordination, planning, monitoring and reporting/reviewing of budget, complex human resource and other fundamental business management matters.
  • Demonstrated application of high level analytical and problem solving skills including the ability to identify risk and opportunity; analyse and interpret data; and, report on performance, exceptions and trends.
  • Demonstrated ability in developing and implementing business improvement initiatives to directly enhance service delivery outcomes and expectations.
  • Demonstrated high level consultative, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills including the ability to direct and influence others through the provision of high level advice and preparation of high quality reports, briefs, recommendations and proposals.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing day-to-day supervision and leadership leading, managing and developing a business team, ensuring strategic and operational objectives are met, ideally in a large project environment.
