This North America Product Manager role  manages Pooling products on a regional basis and and reports directly to the NA Product Head - Liquidity. The person will support all regional product initiatives covering Cash Concentration, Notional Pooling and Virtual Accounts.  The product manager will manage all aspects of core product management: business management, global PAP, technology roadmap, sales support, client service and internal/external communications.

With Citi's large global footprint - and strong suite of Liquidity products, which is a key competitive advantage in cash management deals, it is important that we stay at par or ahead of competition in terms of functionalities as well as commercialization processes for Liquidity products, in the North America region.  

Environment & Objectives:

North America Liquidity Management Services (LMS) product team provides a range of products and services to facilitate efficient treasury management and optimal cash utilization objectives of our Corporate, FI & Public Sector clients.

These products are used by clients for efficient management of their working capital.

Primary Activities:

 

The selected candidate will manage our Pooling products in the region – working alongside global product managers and regional/functional partners. Key projects include rollout of virtual accounts and functionality enhancements to Notional Pooling (e.g. Headerless pooling) and TBA (e.g. Cross Currency sweeps). The product manager will manage all aspects of core product management: business management, global NPAC/PAP, technology roadmap, sales support, client service and internal/external communications.

 

This role reports into the North America Product Head for LMS products & Balance Sheet.

Responsibilities:

End-to-end product management for pooling products – including Business Requirements for new features, Functional Design, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Production verification (PVT) as a final checkpoint before clients are turned live. Through this complete product development cycle, the product manager will partner with all functional and regional teams, in line with TTS/organizational objectives.

Staying abreast of latest developments in the product domain and ensuring that Citi’s regional pooling product offering continues to be a market leader in terms of network as well as product features. 

Addressing evolving regulatory requirements and consequent impact on our clients' usage of the product.

Develop and drive specific commercialization initiatives in support of growth in usage and profitability of pooling structures. Build tools and product collateral to support sales and client service teams

Drive and track improvements in business profitability through implementation of standardized metrics and product pricing policy

Providing regular training for our regional and functional partners

Contribute to business management initiatives e.g. annual budget exercise & 3-5 year strategy plan, regulatory/compliance exercises and Sales Database updates


Qualifications

  • Disciplined approach to project management - including timely engagement and follow-up with critical partners in regional and functional teams
  • Accurate and timely review of key business metrics – resulting in clearly identified action points for product management
  • Partnership with Global Product Managers, regional and functional partners.

  • Build a global network of TTS partners through interaction with regional and local level product managers, client management, operations, implementations, technology, legal and finance teams    
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of Citi’s industry leading Liquidity products – including how these products drive revenue and sales activities
  • Work alongside global/regional/country product managers who manage Liquidity products successfully in 50+ countries – across all regions, in their daily job
  • Learn strong project management skills as well as get an exposure to key functions related to successful product management: Product roadmap development, Revenue and Pricing analysis, Budget and Strategic planning process, Regulatory / Compliance, Technology and Operations
  • Learn the tech development cycle - including forecasting product demand, revenue, budget requirements and BRD support

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience in Treasury / Transactions Services. Product Management experience,  preferably with Pooling set of products
  • Strong interpersonal / communication skills. Ability to work with multi cultural teams in different Citi offices worldwide
  • Strong project management skills
  • Proven self-starter with ability to work independently with minimal guidance in meeting tight timelines
