Brief Description of the Organization
CBNA is the primary legal entity for Citi, providing products and services to consumers, financial institutions and corporate clients around the world.  In the past, Citi has provided most of its internal reporting on a business by business basis.  With the changes in the regulatory environment, strong legal entity reporting and governance has become essential.  This team is responsible for ensuring that CBNA has the appropriate governance and control infrastructure to meet the demand for legal entity planning, execution, information management and the ever-evolving regulatory environment.  Description of the Position
This position will involve the review of client profiles to ensure compliance with Citi Private Bank policy and regulatory mandates. The Pre-Periodic Review Analyst will act as a front line KYC quality control gate keeper and process desk top due diligence verification, ensuring there are no deficiencies in profile data or documentation.

The Pre-Periodic Review Analyst will review and access client profiles and supporting documentation for adherence to CPB policy and quality requirements. This position requires the ability to work independently and apply knowledge of policy and procedures to determine that all aspects of the client’s profile are acceptable. With experience, specialist will act as a subject matter expert in relation to any policy or process inquiries and system enhancement requests.

Other more specific tasks will involve the following:
  • Review of profiles presented via CPB system making comparison of the information (Narrative) entered into the Client Profile with information present in documents. An assessment of the Client’s net worth, for example: In relation to the scale and profitability of the client’s business(es)/investments, and in the context of the country and time period in question: Is the net worth supported by the source of wealth information presented and does the totality of the information make sense when taken altogether?  Ensure that the correct level of corroboration and supporting documents have been provided.
  • Ensure that the correct level of approvals have been given depending upon the determined risk of the clients
  • Identify documentary and KYC issues and follow-up with the Banker to clear shortcomings as appropriate, prior to quality acceptance.
  • Ensure adherence to other associated CPB Policies.

    Qualifications
     

    • 3-5 Years KYC or AML Compliance skills, ideally gained from working in a similar role
    • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
    • Good interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work both independently and within a team
    • Ability to work accurately with strong attention to detail
    • Well organized
    • Able to work with deadlines
    • Strong PC skills
