Citi has made it a priority to foster a culture where the best people want to work, where individuals are promoted based on merit, where we value and demand respect for others and where opportunities to develop are widely available to all. The Houston NAM Commodities PS team supports Front to Back office functions for the Business Franchise – driving delivery into BOTH regional support to desk/traders/operations users AND development/support peers globally.  Function in this role includes responsibilities to directly manage daily and initiative/release activities within Citi’s ETRM, Market Data, eTrading, and strategic Risk/Analytics platforms.  Within Houston office the team works shifts during the day to provide on-site cover between the hours of 7:00 am and 8:00 pm. This allows the support team to cover both start of day and intraday handover between our UK and APAC user base 6 days a week. The candidate must be willing to participate in the work shift and also the weekend support rotations. Within this role you will be working closely with colleagues in London, Singapore and locally inside Houston to ensure seamless support of our client applications.  You will work with both FICC Regional & Global Level 2 Support teams, and Development/Business stakeholders frequently to help achieve Program delivery globally. The support team works shifts mirroring its team members located in London & Singapore - it is anticipated that the role will require 75% hands-on work – analytical and problem solving background/skills will be a plus.

 Functional Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for managing a day to day BAU support for the Houston Global Commodities business and associated downstream teams.  Exposure to systems like OpenLink Endur (ETRM), Simpliciti (Risk/PV) and much more.
  • Ensure near 100% availability of applications and associated infrastructure, as well as manage proactive stability measures demonstrating a material reduction in outages
  • Work closely with second level support peers in Markets, Development teams, and the Commodities Business to determine strategy & priorities and to ensure team is meeting the business’ requirements.  Ensure team delivers on these priorities and communicated progress effectively to all stakeholders.
  • Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support, answer queries via phone, e-mail and in person – interact with Traders/Desk Heads

Qualifications
 Required Qualifications:  Essential Skills
  • Working knowledge of Oracle SQL. (Able to build ad hoc SQL queries)
  • Working knowledge of UNIX (Solaris/Linux). (Able to navigate the system and know the core administration functions)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems/components
  • Strong analytical skills & attention to detail
  • IT (spreadsheet/analytical/modeling skills)
  • Positive attitude and keen to learn.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under stress and time constraints
 Additional  Skills (Desirable)
  • Basic Business knowledge/ understanding of financial markets and products.
  • Experience with Messaging Technologies (TIBCO EMS a plus)
  • Experience with real-time monitoring systems such as ITRS Netagent
  • Job scheduling tool such as Autosys.
  • Issue tracking and reporting using tools such as JIRA
  • Knowledge/ experience of problem Management Tools.
  • Good all-round PC skills. (I.e. Windows OS / Networks / General Hardware)
