About Your Job:

In this role, you will have the overall strategic responsibility for maintaining Network Cargo Safety, Security standards and procedures and ensuring compliance from all personnel involved in the network wide operations.  Primary responsibilities include; continuously monitoring and developing adherence to Qatar Airways Cargo policies including those developed to meet regulations outlined by local authorities and regulatory bodies and ensure strict compliance of IATA regulations for the effective movement of inbound and outbound cargo, whilst reducing the operations costs involved.  

You will ensure smooth cargo operations in the European Region in line with SGHA agreements through close coordination with staff within the station in the region and will be involved with preparing investigation reports in relation to the ever growing cargo routes for all cargo operations; conducting audits and compliance visits to Qatar Airways outstations within Europe.

You will establish and manage a risk based approach to operational management of the stations and a region as a whole. Ensure constant assessment of the risks and continued mitigation to improvement. Approach, methodology, assessment and delivery to be aligned with Cargo HDQ standards and procedures.

Your scope of work also includes developing new strategies in the vision of improving service levels agreements and ensuring a clear communicating channel within QR cargo on implementation of new procedures, initiatives, audits and mitigation strategies. You will create a work environment that encourages Aviation Security culture and embrace continuous improvement methods and working practices.

About You:

To be successful, you will need to hold a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and have a minimum of 7 years’ of Security and/or safety management, compliance and preventative measures experience within the Air Cargo sector. You must have proven expertise in ensuring compliance and security standards for a large Airline Cargo operations and be up to date with all necessary regulations. Auditing and compliance qualification will be an advantage. Knowledge of contractual understanding, and SGHA knowledge would be preferred.

The ability to review, improve, revise and implement new processes and procedures should come naturally to you. You must be a very strong communicator, have a passion for Cargo safety, security, and compliance, and have the ability to work with several key stakeholders simultaneously.

You will possess strong knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint and computer applications.  You will also have good planning, be exceptionally organized and possess dynamic presentation skills. English communication skills are mandatory as are well developed interpersonal skills. 

This position is based in Europe hence you should be eligible to live and work in Europe and be able to relocate to either one of these cities (Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Paris or Brussels).
