This role sits in the Manila Finance and Risk Shared Services Center reporting to the FRSS Risk and Control Head. The Risk and Control Analyst is responsible for minimizing the operational risk losses of FRSS and its customers through the use of effective Risk Management procedures and controls.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk and Control – Responsible in implementing Risk and Control programs that aid management to identify, analyze and respond appropriately to risks in their areas: Manager Control Assessment (MCA), Sox Compliance, Operational Risk and Management, Fraud Management, End User Computing (EUC) and Corrective Action Plans (CAP Tracking)
  • Business Continuity – Ensure compliance to CoB Policy and Policy Standards; analyze the processes to ensure that business continuity plans are viable, executable, implemented and tested and promote business continuity awareness and education for CSS teams
  • Information Security – Ensure consistent and effective risk-based standards and policies to assess, manage, and mitigate the risks associated with the development and use of Citi’s information, systems, networks, and applications, including establishing controls around transferring, storing, and accessing private customer data
  • Records Management – Review Records Management Policy and implementing rules. Uphold strong partnership between Global Functions, Citi Businesses and Operations and Technology including a well defined governance structure to establish a systematic and consistent approach to the classification, retention, protection, retrieval and disposal of records
  • Data Privacy – Ensure compliance with requirements associated with Data Privacy laws, Cross Border, Bank Secrecy, Outsourcing and Export Licensing regulations related to cross border Business Initiatives in all countries in which we operate
  • Audit Management - Provide CSS management with a consistent process for reporting, tracking and remediation of control weaknesses (audit issues) identified by IA
  • Process Reviews and Issues Validation – Conduct targeted reviews to understand end to end process and highlight control weaknesses and accordingly raise recommendations for improvement





The ideal candidate should have highly analytical, management and communication skills.


To qualify for this position you must have a minimum of 6 to 8 years of

experience in risk advisory, operational risk, compliance, and/or internal control related reporting functions within the banking industry and the following:

  • Good Presentation skills – Create presentation & comfortable with public speaking
  • BS Business Administration, Finance or Accounting, or equivalent experience
  • Experience with applying principles, methods and techniques in the design and operation of process controls and their system components; including business process and entity relationship analysis
  • Ability to comprehend compliance policies, processes and guidelines with proficiency in risk and control related practices
  • Capable of providing vocal leadership in optimization of control practices for the business as well as and derive solutions to meet R&C framework
  • Ability to develop new ideas and improving current processes and proactively engages business and functional managers to mitigate risks
  • Strong knowledge of risks and controls for Financial Services companies
  • Ability to challenge in a collegial manner the existing conventions within FRSS
  • Able to identify trends and themes from high volume information sources and synthesize reports for easy consumption of senior business managers
  • Skilled at building partnerships across functions and regions; collaborates well with others with experience working in cross-cultural global teams
  • Project management experience a plus
  • Audit certification a plus
  • Sound critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Sense of urgency
  • Articulates concepts clearly
  • Effective communication (written and verbal) and be able to present information to various levels of management
