As a Senior Fire Safety Officer you will be involved in Implementation and maintenance of preventative fire strategies and policies to ensure the fire LIFE SAFETY of all staff and visitors of Qatar Airways; to avoid damage to plant, equipment and facilities, identifying and managing emergency plans for unlikely event of a fire in QR Facilities. You will work closely with the Qatar Airways Corporate Facilities to ensure appropriate escape strategies, co-ordinate the Fire Safety Task Force on a quarterly basis, manage fire accidents / incidents on the Aviation Quality Database [ADQ] system and subsequent related investigations to the appropriate department.
You will undertake regular inspections / audits throughout Qatar Airways and its subsidiaries to help identify potential fire hazards in the workplace, liaise with and assist any Government bodies including Qatar Civil Defence and regulating bodies where necessary and to co-ordinate the implementation of all fire safety training that may be required.
Where required, you will develop fire related risk assessments working on the outcomes until a satisfactory conclusion is reached and you will be expected to work on or lead applicable fire safety related working groups to achieve appropriate goals within the timeframes and any other parameters set. You will also be expected to provide monitoring and oversight during the installation and throughout the working life of all fixed and portable fire LIFE SAFETY equipment and installationsAbout You::
You must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years of Job related experience.
You should have knowledge of national and international legislation related to fire and rescue, understanding of building fire management systems and design and a proven track record for the implementation of policies and strategies related to fire safety.
