About the role:

Qatar Airways has a new vacancy for a Senior Executive Sous Chef at our Airport Hub Lounge kitchens.  The role involves ensuring that the ingredients and method used in the preparation of culinary items are of the highest standard and quality and to oversee the culinary day-to-day operations at the Hamad International Airport (HIA) Lounge kitchens.

As second in command to the Executive Chef, the selected candidate will control the kitchen in terms of planning and and monitoring food production, assigning tasks, determining processes, managing chefs on duty, overseeing scheduling process and assignment of appropriate training for all kitchen staff.  

About you:

We are looking for candidates with at least 7 years of related culinary experience within luxury hotel, airport lounges or similar environment.  Previous management of a kitchen in a 5 star environment is an added benefit. 

A minimum of 5 years experience at Sous Chef level is preferred as is GCC experience.  In addition, candidates should have a Bachelors Degree or equivalent with preferably education in the culinary arts/kitchen apprenticeship.
