Global Asset Management, the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC’s worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds. Global Asset Management fulfills its purpose of connecting HSBC’s clients with investment opportunities around the world through an international network of offices in approximately 30 countries, delivering global capabilities with local market insight.


We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join the Asset Management – Mutual Fund Operations team.

Principal Responsibilities:


• Work within an AMG operations team that covers a sizeable number of activities supporting the investment lifecycle.

• Be responsible for the day to day processing within Asset Management middle and back office teams.

• Apply skills and job knowledge in area of specialisation; adapt procedures, operations, techniques, tools and materials to meet needs of AMG; requires work on non-routine tasks; resolves issues/makes working decisions within area of specialisation or responsibility with minimal supervision.

• Specialist process skills, business experience and investment process or investment accounting specialisms are required-

  • To seamlessly manage the reconciliations piece well within the prescribed/necessary timelines.

  • To carry out the daily mid office operations of the Mutual Fund Business smoothly and constantly endeavour to improve existing processes.

  • To drive conclusion of Internal Audit activities for the Fund

  • To ensure timely submission of all Regulatory Reports

  • To drive Expense Analysis, Dist. TER, Additional B15 accrual calculations and monitoring & dividend declaration reports and coordination with RC and FA.

  • To ensure adherence and compliance to all regulatory and internal requirements for operations




External Qualifications/Requirements


  • Chartered Accountant/Cost Accountant/Commerce Graduate with industry experience (Mutual Fund Operations) of minimum 5 years.

  • Experience of 5-6 years in mutual fund operations

  • Knowledge of SEBI regulations

  • Knowledge of valuations, fund accounting, banking and custody

  • Knowledge of securities settlement, valuations, fund accounting and NAV Calculation.  

  • Experience in internal and statutory audit.

  • Knowledge of taxation laws.

  • Well organized and ability to prioritize effectively

  • Team management experience would be preferred

  • Good knowledge of MS office.

  • Experience in Quantis would be preferred

  • Planning and organising skills

  • Problem solving skills
