Description

 

 Role Purpose-

 

Scheduling & Workload Automation (S&WA) is an integral part of ITID - Data Centre & Operations (DC&O). S&WA are responsible for Globally delivering scheduling requirements at the quality and pace warranted by the business whilst maintaining the integrity of the scheduling environments. Our aim is to provide the workload automation capabilities to facilitate DevOps and Agile practices both internally and externally, and administer the end-end governance and oversight for all scheduling products.

 

 

 

The job holder of the role has the responsibility to deliver automation and Improvements within Scheduling Products and its underlying Infrastructure and related processes.

 

Collecting, analyzing and processing raw data and identifying improvement opportunities to achieve Cost Benefits to the organisation.

 

The role involves working with other business areas within HSBC and IT Infrastructure Delivery and requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.

 

 

Skills

  • Excellent and high numerical and analytical skills

  • ITIL Certified and has background of Continual Service Improvement (CSI)

  • Knowledge and experience of working on Infrastructure Alerting, Monitoring and Event Management tools

  • Knowledge of Scripting for Automation and CSI initiatives

  • Attention to detail combined with strong delivery focus and ability to meet aggressive timeframes with quality results.

  • High degree of drive and motivation – to ensure delivery of objectives in a timely, efficient and effective manner.

  • Ability to communicate complex issues concisely

  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to manage and engage multiple stakeholders.

  • Well-developed project management ,strong prioritization and organizational skills

  • Ability to orchestrate, manage and successfully implement major procedural and technological change within a complex, global organisation.

  • Resourceful, ability to leverage resources available to achieve goals

  • Must have effective interpersonal skills and collaborative management style to include teamwork, team building, conflict management, and problem solving skills. 

 

 

Experience

  • Prior experience of delivering CSI or Automation Projects within IT

  • Experience of Change Management, Incident Management, Problem Management and OLAs & SLAs

  • Working across cultures and in matrix organization structures

  • Knowledge and Exposure to Enterprise platforms like zSeries, iSeries and Distributed is preferred

  • Knowledge of other Scheduling Products like TWS, Control-M, CA-7 is preferred

  • Experience of working on Production Support or Service Operations is preferred
