HOST combines global expertise and technology to help keep us ahead of the competition. We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Know Your Client Operations Regional Production Support Manager. Principal responsibilities​
  • Support in the creation of GBM and CMB SLAs for APAC, working with Regional and Country KYC Operations teams and key stakeholders within the GBM and CMB businesses to help to set up the SLA methodology such as thresholds, assumptions, reporting frequency, MI reporting framework and governance model 
  • On creation of Wholesale SLAs undertake Regional management and maintenance of the SLAs, chairing and facilitating weekly production calls with Countries KYC Operations and GSC teams
  • Own and drive the on going management activity that supports the day to day running of the function such as management meetings, quarterly reviews, expense updates, Town Hall planning etc.
  • Ensure proper and effective governance of tasks and processes with reference to internal policy and external regulation
  • Work collaboratively and communicate persuasively, emphasising teamwork, diversity and knowledge sharing within HSBC 
  • Support the APAC Regional GBM Head of KYC Operations in facilitating effective decision making and implementing global strategic direction for CMB and GBM KYC Operations, and xLOB for central utilities
  • The role holder is expected to provide support to various stakeholders and drive the delivery of agreed objectives within the operating model consistent with group standards and extend organizational support, helping to ensure action items, deadlines, and deliverables are completed.
  • Own and drive the yearly strategic planning process ensuring alignment of  onboarding functions with business needs
  • Work closely with the ASP FCRS Change representatives to ensure the change portfolio is tightly aligned to the business demands and plans. Ensure required Functional SMEs are available to input into strategic projects
  • Monitor actual and projected expense levels versus budgets and explain major variances
  • Manage expense control procedures for KYC Ops, identifying and implementing cost savings, administrative and internal controls
  • Define and implement financial reporting measures 
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement to encourage reduction of the expense ratios across units
  • Responsibilities include significant input into the definition of the operating model, and subsequent implementation of the roll out strategy across the Region.  Ensure team established is fit for purpose and delivers results in line with both Business and CMG expectations before handover to BAU Functional Regional heads.
  • Coordinate the execution and implementation of strategic initiatives and prioritized ad hoc projects and management requests within KYC Operations Wholesale and Utilities
  • Accountable for the overall delivery of regional deployment requirements
  • Develop, baseline and manage the regional deployment plan
 

Qualifications

 Requirements​
  • Be delivery focused with ability to pay attention to detail and ensure tasks are completed on time and to the required levels of quality.

  • Proven experience in identifying and managing the risks, issues and dependencies related to complex programs
  • Experience of managing large operational teams
  • Ability to build relationships by communicating, influencing and negotiating effectively with business heads, senior managers, stakeholders and technical experts across the whole department and business users
  • Proven ability to prioritize competing demands
  • Exceptional organizational, planning and management skills
  • Proven business and operational experience
  • Able to articulate a challenging strategic vision and motivate people to achieve this
  • Proven track record that can be demonstrated in delivering multi work stream, cross organizational, geographical business and IT
    change within the Securities industry
  • Experience in risk management field, and proven ability to support the development of the business activities while robustly applying
    risk management disciplines and controls.
  • Good knowledge of regulatory trends and developments
  • AML qualification and or post graduate Compliance degree is an advantage
  • While KYC and AML experience is preferred it is NOT necessarily required.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Planning, time management and resource management skills
  • Experience of working in a highly matrixed environment, and accustomed to bridging the gap between disparate organizations and cultures
  • Strong investigative and analytical skills
