Regional Breastfeeding Professional Clinical Quality Improvement Coordinator x 3 posts

Grade: Band 8A Salary Scale: £42414 - £50470 pro rata for part time
Full time or Part time considered, fixed term/secondment to 31st March 2021 (funding)
These exciting posts will be the perfect professional development opportunity for any experienced infant feeding lead. The purpose of these posts is to deliver activities on a regional and national level to support implementation of the Scottish breastfeeding Programme for Government (PfG) 2017-21. National activities will include development and delivery of training and mentoring programmes for specialist practitioners, development of key resources for the PfG delivery and supporting and evaluating Quality Improvement projects. The postholders will provide day to day management of their regional team including implementing implementation of local and national policies and aiding with local budgeting management of PFG monies.
The postholders will provide expertise and guidance on projects within and across multi-disciplinary teams across organisations and across the wider health communities; disseminating research, evaluation and QI findings and promote and evidence based and improvement culture. Post will act as a source of expertise and guidance on projects/programmes across the organisations including the health and academic community. They will provide a catalyst to advance effective clinical practice and service
The postholders will have expert level experience as a specialist caseload holder, leading changes to clinical practice and service using specialist expertise and research findings into existing clinical practice both within their own service and across Scotland. The post will use this expertise to develop and mentor similar posts to gain the same knowledge, skills and confidence to become expert specialist practitioners.
The postholders will be home based but have access to office facilities in their area as required.
