We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Resource Enablement Specialist.
The Planning and Resource Enablement team develops and manages an extensive resource capacity planning and supply capability to enable delivery across Digital, while continuously improving the model and processes for timely delivery of those resources
The Planning Specialist will either lead a central workstream of recruitment governance and approvals, headcount management and reporting or work alongside designated delivery managers within Cross Functional and Platform Delivery
Managing the front door processes such as headcount tracking, resource requests and responding to all customer requests and enquiries.
Working with delivery teams to provide effective resource provision, supporting the teams overall people plan assisting with the creation and maintenance of plans and forecasts, identifying demand vs supply and addressing these
Resource and headcount supply and demand reporting
Oversee resource management and recruitment processes, task governance, plans and reporting
The role may involve direct line management responsibilities for one or more Planning Analysts
Operational management of the Digital headcount, including tracking of both business and resources across the business frameworks
Analyse consultant and contractor costs and make recommendations to transition to alternative low cost solutions, ensuring support is provided to enable the necessary recruitment activity and following up on agreed actions to ensure budget commitments are met
Track, manage and report on Digital skills and competencies by working closely with Disciplines and Communities
Provision of a best in class service for all Digital customers by creating and managing front door processes to ensure appropriate levels of governance, maintaining service excellence at all times
Supporting delivery management activity by taking ownership of resource plans across the Digital portfolio
Working with delivery leads to build workable resource roadmaps, within allocated budgets and achieving the right balance of permanent versus temporary, high cost versus low cost locations
Responsible for scenario planning and providing project and resource information on which prioritisation decisions can be made for local or regulatory projects
Supporting implementation and ongoing maintenance of resource and planning tools to underpin an effective operation and accurate re-charging.
Working with third party vendor relationship managers to ensure that utilization is in line with current contracts
Working alongside Digital Finance to ensure all Digital costs and deliverables are planned, funded and communicated effectively
Strong analytical and numerical skills with a working knowledge of analysis tools such as Excel
Experiencing of managing teams is preferred, but strong stakeholder management, including the ability to negotiate and influence is essential
Excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work with complex data from a variety of sources, and to operate effectively where data is ambiguous or incomplete
Excellent understanding of project methodology, frameworks and best practice, with experience of presenting key information to senior management
Working knowledge of resource planning within a transformation role
Subject Matter Expertise for Digital transformation, including technical, commercial, market place and customer considerations
Experience of operational planning and management, understanding resource requirements in order to fulfil project delivery
Strong commercial focus, ability to balance risks and rewards and maximize cost effectiveness and profitability for the business
Strong negotiation and relationship skills to satisfy a wide range of internal and external customers with conflicting priorities
Pragmatic decision making skills, with the ability to make clear judgments, understand the implications and communicate these effectively
Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal, to explain complex or technical issues
Innovative and have the ability to approach things differently or do different things to deliver goals
Respectful of different cultures, working with colleagues from across multiple regions spanning our global footprint
