Responsible for strategic planning and identifying new business opportunities for QR Cargo complementing the corporate Cargo business goal. Conceives and develops new business and new cargo products for Qatar Airways and sets up new trends, ensuring that QR Cargo is up to date in latest development in International Cargo Market.
Set up and pursue profitability on annual business targets independently.
Develop economic plan and execution of business development strategies
Study, evaluate and recommend modus operandi for new Cargo business and product
Should be able to take decisions related to product mix, productivity, optimization, prioritization and profitability
Plan and implement business strategies for Cargo to achieve annual budgeted targets for improved revenue
Set controls and monitoring processes to surpass yield/tonnage target for QR network all online & offline stations to limit expenditure, and optimize revenue generation.( Accomplish increase in yield per tonnage target)
Plan, select & participate in exhibitions to represent and promote QR cargo & accountable for overall activities of marketing & sales promotional activities including developing marketing strategies for the region
Introduce and implement continuous improvement programs, develop new products and services and establish benchmarks against which actual performance may be judged to evaluate targeted accomplishments
Derive in-depth insight into the cargo market, including future trends and developments and plan and develop strategies with market research data to establish key connections with other marketing and service professionals in the region
Work in close cooperation with Business Development group, Operations Planning, Global Capacity Management and all Regional Sales to develop the optimal intercontinental network for QR Cargo within the region
Lead in the development of optimal network plan and strategy that ensures sustained growth & profitability
Direct the market and Industry analysis in order to identify & recommend new business opportunities
Negotiate and finalize interline agreements resulting in the expansion of our QR Cargo network within the region
Contributes to QR Cargo’s profitability by proposing & suggesting new products, destinations and marketsQualifications:
MBA from recognized university on Sales, Economics marketing, Commerce or Advertising.
Preferably experience in a managerial role for 7 years in a cargo airline industry
