This is an exciting opportunity within Qatar Aviation Services as Manager Quality, Standards and Compliance. In this role the core responsibility is to define, integrate and implement the entire quality management system and compliance framework to adhere with regulatory requirements, customer airlines and company procedures in order to achieve organization policies and objectives. You will be responsible for maintaining ISO and ISAGO standards. You will manage the Quality and Compliance team to research and evaluate performance trends across all departments in QAS. You will make recommendations to introduce, modify or withdraw policies and procedures for improving performance.
Responsible to develop and deliver Operational and Support Function Audits and update QAS Management with all findings and corrective measures.
Represent QAS on different strategy forums of QR Group related to Quality, Standards and Compliance and ensure QAS issues are considered whilst forming new policies.
Develop and deliver quality assurance programs for operations using risk based methodology that provides oversight capability to ensure consistency, compliance and standards.
Implement and monitor policies and procedures for operations relating to quality in order to comply with operational requirements of QAS.
Provide support and advice to operations in all issues related to quality, standards and compliance.
Disseminate information on relevant quality and compliance requirements and issues to SVP, especially those related to airlines and regulatory requirements.
Liaise with operation relevant managers in maintaining and analyzing issues related to conformance, performance and customer airlines.
Perform internal and external audits and facilitate timely response to audit findings and/or observations.
Monitor service performance and quality, analyze trends and advise necessary actions to be taken by concerned departments to improve performance.
Monitor regulatory compliance and audits maintained in relation to aviation industry practices and QAS procedures.
Establish and present quality and performance trends in a clear and concise manner, following audits giving clear recommendations for quality/service improvements.
Involve with devising operations and safety strategy and make recommendation to modify QAS policies and procedures in line with quality and compliance standards.
Set up and maintain documentation and control procedures to ensure all procedures are documented in a controlled way through versions or revisions.
Investigate and review SOP non compliances, developing improved operational procedures and implementing working checklists.
Attend IATA Conferences related to Quality and Compliance on behalf of QAS Management.
Responsible to implement Environmental Management System for QAS with the coordination of Qatar Airways Environment Team.
Ensure the identification of hazards, reporting of occurrences and risks to ensure safety and security of the operations.
To be successful in this role you must hold a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. You must have good knowledge of all aspects of airport ground handling operations. You should have excellent knowledge on Quality Management System and Auditing. Internal Quality auditing skills is an essential requirement for this role. You should have minimum 8 years of experience working in a Quality environment with experience in auditing, agreeing audit plans, understanding the mechanics of audit systems.
You should have experience in implementing and maintaining a Quality Management System in aviation industry. Prior experience in implementing ISAGO Standards and experience of ISO certification is highly preferred. Experience in aviation industry with knowledge on LEAN and SIX sigma or equivalent is highly desired. Process engineering methodology experience is an added advantage.
