About Your Job:

Qatar Airways Cargo is seeking an experienced Cargo Operations professional to join our team in Paris, France.

In this role as Senior Regional Cargo Operations Officer you will be responsible for smooth cargo operations at the region through close coordination, supervision and negotiation with the GHA's (Ground Handling Agent), local service providers and staff within the region.  

As a representative of the Qatar Airways brand, you will be an ambassador of our Qatar Airways Values, systems, processes and policies. You will manage a team of operations staff working on a 7 day shift, you will be responsible to maintain the published operating schedule in the most professional, efficient and cost effective manner whilst ensuring strict compliance to IATA regulations for effective movement of inbound and outbound cargo whilst reducing operation cost involved.  You will constantly review the operation; make decision based on the fact and analysis, uses understanding of business principles to establish clear priorities for action and to work in conjunction with the internal stakeholders and external agents.

This role demands high level of energy, intelligence and style. As a Senior Officer you will create an environment of professionalism, innovation and enthusiasm and provide significant contribution in the identification and development of strategic plans to improve business objectives. You will be expected to maintain a satisfactory balance of On Time Performance and customer service in line with the company’s business goals and establish and maintain strong and effective working relationships with all relevant departments.


About You:

To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of Relevant College or University Qualification to min Bachelor’s level or equivalent.  

This position essentially requires you to have minimum of 5 years of work experience within Airline Experience or Air Freight Industry out of which preferably a minimum of 2-3 years on the Managerial / Supervisory level.  You would be required to have an understanding of the IATA Cargo Handling, IATA Cargo Service Manual and DGR regulations and must possess a strong decisive and collaborative leadership style.

You will also have good planning skills, be exceptionally organized and proven influential and consultative approach, solution focus, and strong negotiation skills will be paramount. You must also possess excellent communication and analytical skills and experience of inspiring and engaging a large workforce is very much needed in this role.

You must also be a good communicator with a team oriented personality.
