Acquisition and management of relationships for the Commercial Bank with the objective of revenue growth and good credit quality in line with the strategy of Citi Commercial Bank.
Job Background / Context:
Citi Commercial Bank caters to SME (Small & Medium Enterprise) and MME (Mid-Market Enterprise) segments. Relationship Manager is responsible for new client origination in the SME/MME segments and also for managing an existing base of client. Relationship Manager needs to be proficient in the product suite offered, credit analysis and working knowledge of Lending products, Trade, FX, and Cash Management.
§ Acquire new customers through referrals of current customers, and through marketing activities. Maintain a pipeline of new deals.
§ Prepare credit proposal for new to bank relationships and discuss with Business/Risk seniors on the case in terms of client’s financial ratios, business model etc
§ Manage existing base of client relationships and timely submission of annual review cases to Risk/Credit Analysis Unit
§ Primary point of contact with customer for all service escalations
§ Handle documents related to client’s on-boarding with the Commercial Bank and keep the client abreast of the status
§ Regular liaison with Credit Analysis Unit, Risk and other internal units for follow-ups
§ Act as back-up for other RMs as and when needed by the business
§ Coordinate with Transaction Services team to conduct CitiDirect training for clients
§ X-sell by partnering with product partners – Cash, Trade and Treasury products
§ Initiate and participate in micro-marketing activities for your area to support customer acquisition
§ Provide active feedback on emerging product needs of customers, competitive practices, and ideas on process/product improvement
Knowledge / Experience:
§ 5-10 years of Commercial/Corporate banking experience
§ Experience in a client acquisition role in UAE
§ Basic knowledge of trade, lending, FX and other cash products
