This is a Full-time Physical Therapy Assistant position on our Enterprise Support Team (WEST) and this opportunity offers PREMIUM PAY and a comprehensive benefits package. Opportunity for flexible self-scheduling and varied work environments.
The Full-Time Physical Therapy Assistant will support the Workforce Engineering Rehabilitation Float Team and is required to float between multiple WellStar hospitals depending on individual departments’ needs on a day to day basis. This position enables the Physical Therapist Assistant to maintain a comprehensive skill competency and play a vital role in the delivery of World Class care to our patients. WellStar facilities included in Region 4, the current service area, are Atlanta Medical Center South, Spalding and Sylvan Grove Hospitals.
The Physical Therapy Assistant, under the direction of the Physical Therapist collaborates in planning and implementing programs that help to restore or improve function in mobility, strength, coordination, and range of motion in patients suffering from disease or injury. Services are provided across the full continuum and rendered in a cost conscious, quality focused, and customer-oriented manner. Compliance with all applicable regulatory standards is also required with this role.
Required Minimum Education, Licensure/Certification and Experience for this position:
Required Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent and graduate from an accredited physical therapy assistant program.
Required Minimum Experience: 3 years of clinical experience required.
Required Licensure: Current licensure as a physical therapy assistant in the state of Georgia. Must have a current BLS certification from the American Heart Association on first day of employment. Valid Georgia Driver’s license is required and private vehicle insurance.
