Generous remuneration package value up to $123,634 p.a. comprising salary range of $101,159 to $108,359 p.a. (AO6), 17.5% leave loading, 12.5 % employer contribution to superannuation. How you will be assessed

  • High standard of administrative and organisational skills, and ability to prepare complex documents, agendas, minutes and draft replies to correspondence demonstrating advanced computer skills utilising appropriate software.
  • Working knowledge of issues concerning health and medical research and research ethics review including HREC operations and the performance of its functions.
  • High level specialised knowledge and ability to apply legislation and regulatory guidelines relevant to research ethics, in particular the National Statement, Queensland and Commonwealth privacy legislation, the Australian Code of Responsible Conduct of Research and the Therapeutic Goods Act as it relates to clinical research and special access.
  • Efficient high level of communication, both written and verbal, negotiation and interpersonal skills to influence and cultivate productive working relationships and networks within the research community.
  • Provision of high-level specialised advice in written and verbal form to researchers to promote and encourage their understanding of research matters such as levels of ethical review, levels of risk, ethical topics in the National Statement and other legislation.
  • Demonstrated skills in computerised data management systems, contemporary word processing and spread sheeting systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to assist in the implementation and enhancement of new and existing systems and in the development of new procedures and practices.
