The Adolescent Unit has 14 beds and provides care to patients between the ages of 10 and 18 years case mix is predominantly medical, surgical, mental health and chronic/complex health conditions.
The nurse to patient ratio from 1:1 to 1:4/5 and is variable according to patient needs.
Shifts are twelve hours, morning shift commencing at 0700 and night shift 1900. There is a day shift from 0900 – 2130.

The unit cares for high acuity and/or high dependency patients, excellent opportunities exist to develop advanced skills in areas such as tracheostomy management, ventilation, complex multi-level gastrointestinal surgery and orthopaedic surgery

What you'll be doing
The Registered Nurse provides safe, compassionate, person-centred care to patients and families of Sydney Children's Hospital Network.
The Registered Nurse acts as a role model by demonstrating behaviour and interacting with patients, their families and employees in a way that promotes a culture and standards that reflect the NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness , Respect and Empowerment.
