The Location

The Hospital

The hospital is health centre for the region and is home to the north coast’s largest public hospital, two private hospitals, and is well serviced by a strong contingent of allied health professionals.   The $80 million redevelopment project will provide improved access to and equity in the delivery of a wider range of services, and additional capacity to respond to the rapid growth in demand and the needs of the local community.

The Role

Be valued for your Obstetric / Gynaecological skills and experience as part of a specialised multidisciplinary team.  Share in management of acute patient presentations when appropriate. Be involved in clinical teaching for junior staff and students.

Skills and Experience

  • Current AHPRA registration or eligible for specialist registration with AHPRA.
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) or advanced trainee of RANZCOG
  • Experience in clinical O&G care for elective and emergency cases
  • Able to treat women within a range of models of maternity care, in collaboration with relevant members of the multidisciplinary team and in a supportive and respectful manner.
