1. JOB PURPOSE:
As Manager Maintenance Training – Standards you will be responsible to ensure that the training (both theoretical and practical), examinations and assessments are conducted to the highest industry standards and to the requirements of QCANEASA Part 14 7 and to make sure that MTOE/TPM are in compliance with the regulatory and company requirements.
You will also review organizational requirements to ensure that the procedures and processes implemented in Qatar Airways Technical Training are in compliance with the official requirements.
You will also manage internal training audits and section budgets.
•Ensure zero findings on audits conducted by various parties.
•Enforce procedure to correct and minimize the deficiencies found in training, examinations, assessment.
•Responsible for maintaining, interpreting and developing the EASA/QCAA MTOE certification standards and protocols in order to ensure the highest levels of credibility, relevance and performance for QAMT, and to support Operation, Practical, and Examination sections to perform more sustainably.
•Maintain and lead revisions of the EASAJQCAA/TPM standards operating procedures.
•Ensure that QAMT Standards are up-to-date, accurate and are credible and endorsed by EASA/QCANQA.
•Support standard development and improvement and provide expert support to impact assessments, assurance, and standard operating procedures including benchmarking and endorsement
•Produce technical reports and publications, including developing and delivering formal training to QAMT for both managerial and Instructional staff as required.
•Conduct investigations on incidents involving breach of security on examination data banks, examination packs and on cheating cases during examinations.
•Liaise with SMMT to ensure that the corrective actions are taken on findings identified during audits conducted on Qatar Airways Maintenance Training.
•Part of instructor assessment boards and will require that you are current on procedures and conduct of training/assessments and examination procedures
•Ensure the compliance of all training records and certifications are in accordance with regulatory standards when issuing certificates of recognition.
•Ensure standardization of manuals, documents and forms of QAMT.
•Provide suggestions to ensure compliance with changes to applicable regulations.
•Performs other duties and special projects assigned by the Senior Manaker.
•Adhere to best industry practices, methods, procedures, and respond positively.
•Ensure the facility fulfils the requirements laid down by regulatory bodies.
•Periodically review and identify any problems with current implementation and develop solutions that ensure the system is fit for purpose, consistent with industry best practice and future-proofed.
•Be a key member of the QAMT, working closely with Maintenance Training Managers and instructional members, together with EASA/QCANQA exerts and as required.
Management & Leadership
You Will: -
•Establish the department or teams objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives.
•Regularly evaluate the department or teams objectives, plans, procedures and practices and makes appropriate changes if needed.
•Oversee and supervise Instructors daily activities, recruit, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery.

•Train and develop other employees, to ensure succession planning is in place.

•Improve the standard of training by identifying the strengths and weakness of instructors and developing them to deliver quality training to the customer.
•Suggest improvements to further streamline the processes and workflow of the section.
•Assess the instructors/examiners/practical assessors' competency at discharging their duties and responsibilities while they are involved in their respective tasks and provide a report indicating areas to improve if required. 3. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
•Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering or Degree (B.Eng... BSc) in Aeronautical Engineering
•Hold ICAO/QCAA/EASA License with at least 4 Aircraft Training Authorizations on aircraft fleet operated by the company
•Completed Management of Training and Training Standardization or similar courses from a recognized training establishment.
•External: Minimum of 12 years of job related experience + management experience
•Internal: Minimum 02 years" experience in EN.03.
•Leadership: leading large team of Maintenance Training Instructors, Examiners. Assessors
•Experience in type instruction or practical instruction. Or assessment in EASA or equivalent Part 147 Maintenance Training Organization.
