As Shift Manager - Production Control (Line and Light), you will efficiently manage the functions of Production control (Line and Light Maintenance) while ensuring that all maintenance plans are implemented in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manner seeking cost reduction through optimization of resources without compromising safety and airworthiness standards.
•Manage/develop an efficient production control Centre for inputs planned in Line/Light Maintenance through continuous optimization of shift plans, resources and hangar space.
•Develop and establish procedure for an efficient AOG Input management system (From Production Planning perspective) for all AOG Inputs being handled by Line/Light Maintenance.
•Develop, update and periodic review of procedures related to Production Control Centre.
•Ensure an effective production control system is in place for all maintenance planned in Line/Light Maintenance with objective to minimize aircraft ground time and achieve efficient utilization of resources (ground time, manpower, facility and materials).
•Implement processes for check monitoring/control of individual maintenance plans to ensure timely completion of maintenance.
•Implement an efficient work pack management system to meet the regulatory requirements.
•Establish a mechanism to prioritise workloads with minimum impact to operation during an operational disruption/AOG Situation.
•Develop and implement process for an efficient planning process for deferred defect management systems for every inputs planned in Line/Light maintenance thereby contributing towards an effective fleet management system.
•Implement and manage a process to evaluate delays/task deferments/task de-assignments encountered in Line/Light Maintenance and propose preventive actions through root cause analysis.
•Take ownership of all quality surveillance audit findings related to Production Control, identify root-cause and implement corrective measures.
•Manage the plan changes across line and light maintenance with a customer focus and on time delivery, (ex. Any AOG aircraft inducted into hangar requires resources, tools and facilities).
•Implement IT solutions in respect to production control and enhance these solutions on periodic basis
(Implementation of IT solutions e.g. TRAX).
•Ensure adherence to company procedures and implement a periodic review of procedures to implement changes that will benefit QR.
•Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
Stake Holder Management
•Liaise with other sections (Supply Chain, Engineering, MOCC, Shops, and Resource) for required support during aircraft maintenance to ensure on-time release of aircraft.
•Carry out regular HSE inspections of areas under their responsibility.
Management & Leadership
•Develop and monitor section KPls and take necessary action to achieve targets.
•Develop and update Production Control staff roster and leave plans.
•Review and develop staff training plan to achieve section objectives and improve performance.
•Establish the department or teams objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives.
•Regularly evaluate the department or teams objectives, plans, procedures and practices, and makes appropriate changes if needed.
•Oversee and supervise employees. Direct daily activities, recruit, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
•Train and develop other employees, to ensure succession planning is in place.
•Be committed and contribute to the National talent development, by coaching the national developees, preparing them for a career with boundless potential. Leading to the program’s continued growth and success.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: Qualifications:
•Degree (B.Eng., BSc) in Engineering or hold an ICAO type II license.
•Completed a Management & leadership training course. Preferred Project Management.
•Aircraft Type Course(s).
•External: Minimum 12 years job related experience.
•Internal: Completed 02 years as EN.03.
•Working in a Line/Base maintenance environment.

•Must be assessed for leadership skills and technical knowledge. Regulations (Part M and Part 145).
•Good communication skills.
