The AVP of Employee and Leader Experience is responsible for re-imagining Wellstar’s approach to developing employees and leaders. They will create strategies in partnership with the business and have direct responsibilities for all aspects of leader and employee development to include onboarding of new employees and leaders, ongoing career and professional development of all team members, mentoring/coaching and leadership development/planning. This role requires strong executive presence, and 8+ years experience managing employee and leadership development functions. Additionally, it requires a minimum of 5 years experience leading a team responsible for similar scope. The role will be instrumental in creating high-visibility programs and enhancing the overall experience of our talent at the Wellstar Health System.
The role will work very close with the Chief Learning Officer and other OL leadership to develop and maintain OL budgets. This individual will also provides oversight to existing programing and services.
RequiredMinimumEducation: Bachelor's degree required. Master’s degree in business, leadership, organizational development or organizational learning preferred.
RequiredMinimumExperience: A minimum of 10 years experience in learning or Organizational Development (OD) with a track record of strong strategy and execution skills. Must have experience working in larger systems (over 10,000 employees) and comfort working at an executive level with budgets, financial systems, etc. Candidates must have experience leading teams of 10+ people.
Strong executive presence as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be organized and have the ability to analyze and trouble shoot problems. This individual must have good interpersonal skills and be able to build and lead a team. Ability to be agile and multi-task is essential. Strong detail orientation and time management skills are required.
