An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Dietitian to join our team of friendly Dietitians and Dietetic Assistants, providing a dietetic service to Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals Trust. We are one of the busiest acute trusts in London, based across Queen’s Hospital in Romford, and King George Hospital in Goodmayes. Our department includes Dietitians with specialist skills in the areas of Oncology, Complex Nutrition Support, Surgery, Gastroenterology, Stroke and Neurosciences, Critical Care and Paediatrics.
This post offers an excellent opportunity for a band 5 Dietitian looking to consolidate or gain wider experience in the range of specialties mentioned above. This will be a rotational post across our two hospital sites and you will work closely with our Specialist Dietitians who will help you to further develop your knowledge and skills.
The main purpose of this role is to provide a high quality and efficient Nutrition & Dietetic service, being responsible for a designated in-patient and out-patient clinical caseload across the Trust. The department is actively involved in the education of other health care professionals and student dietitians, and you will be expected to participate in this training.

You need to have a recognised degree/diploma in Dietetics, be registered with the HCPC and have clinical knowledge and experience across a variety of disease states and dietetic therapies. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be a good team worker with the ability to use their own initiative.
All new staff appointed to posts at the Trust will be subject to a 6 months probationary period. This will give new staff members an opportunity to become familiar with the culture and working environment of the Trust.
