  • This analytics position will support the retail asset business in Asia Pacific through implementing vintage pricing models across Cards, Loans and Mortgage products in order to optimize new portfolio RoRWA. 

  • It will work closely with country and regional risk, finance, data and Customer Value Management teams to develop, review, validate and finalize model outputs and resulting investment decisions.  The position will also serve as a key Data and Vintage Profitability Modeling Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the region and contribute to best practices globally.

  • Implement standard Vintage Profitability models across Cards, Loans and Mortgages across multiple markets

  • Serve as the technical lead in Vintage Profitability modeling within the region

  • Moderate investment decision discussions with cross-functional teams, acting as Subject Matter Expert (SME) across a region or multiple countries

  • Analyze and interpret financial impact of alternative decisions on the profitability of product lines and businesses

  • Review and approve inputs, outputs and methodology from local and GAC teams in regional markets where appropriate

  • Initiate, conduct and lead all steps of project, including stakeholder management, working group management, planning, data management, reporting, analysis, summary of findings, recommendations, presentation of results, and project documentation.    

  • Coordinate inputs from country risk, finance and Customer Value Management teams

  • Forecast applicable vintage drivers through the life of an account

  • Document forecast inputs and outputs for collaborative cross-functional review

  • Monitor model results for deterioration and re-forecast as appropriate

  • Manipulate, modify and validate data from diverse and sometimes challenging sources to populate models

  • Develop commercial and RWA optimization opportunities through valuation of new business initiatives

  • Develop and facilitate training programs in Vintage Profitability modeling

  • Perform other projects or special assignments as required









  • Degree in a relevant discipline, along with years’ of relevant working experience

  • Deep knowledge and expertise in Vintage Financial Profitability Modeling

  • Experience of working with the Risk, Business, Data, and Finance organizations to make optimal decisions

  • Ability to manage a cross-functional process in a matrix organization, gaining buy-in and problem solving across multiple stakeholders at different organizational and functional levels

  • Strong strategy, analytical and problem solving skills

  • Experience manipulating and transforming raw data into complex model inputs

  • Proven business project leading experience, as well as of leading an analytical team and working in complex matrix environments

  • Strong process management orientation

  • Excellent strategic, analytical and problem solving skill

  • Solid verbal & written communication

  • Global or Regional experience is a plus

  • Knowledge or background in Marketing and customer segmentation is a plus

  • Computer programming skills using statistical programs such as SAS or advanced use of data base programs is a plus
