Value Management is a new collaborative that aims to test and spread an innovative model developed within NHS Highland that supports clinical, care and finance teams to apply quality improvement methods with combined cost and quality data at team level to deliver improved patient outcomes, experience and value.
We have an exciting opportunity to be part of our team. You will support coaching, scale up and spread of the Value Management methodology across in NHS Highland as a means to improving the value of care provided, as well as supporting and reporting into the National Collaborative.
We are looking for enthusiastic, highly motivated individuals with who can demonstrate a high level of knowledge and practical experience of quality improvement methodologies, project management approaches and use of tools to support effective data handling. You will be highly articulate, with well-developed influencing and negotiation skills, making you proficient in managing relationships and building networks. You will have highly developed problem solving, analytical and communication skills, and will be competent delivering information using a variety of approaches. Having a professional qualification and/or professional registration e.g. Improvement Advisor / Nurse / AHP would be desirable.
The post is a fixed term post which would be suitable for a secondment and part time applicants will be considered. The role will agile and the base location is negotiable. You may be required to travel to all acute sites across NHS Highland in the first 2 years.
The Value Management Coach post is located within the PMO. The PMO is primarily focused on facilitating the successful and smooth delivery of the Health Boards Quality and Cost Improvement Programme. Corresponding work programmes relate to promoting and demonstrating high quality, safe, effective and person centred care and services.
