The Neonatal Unit at Blackpool currently cares for around 500 infants per year with a variety of neonatal medical problems in Intensive, High Dependency, Special, Transitional Care and Outreach.

We are looking for enthusiastic, highly motivated, innovative nurses to work effectively within the ward team. The team surrounding the family is central to the Families Division’s ethos. The successful applicant will be influential in maintaining the team spirit and ensuring that the care provided is safe, high quality and compassionate.

The unit employs both qualified adult & paediatric nurses who are expected work in all the different levels of care within the unit.

You should possess an RN, RSCN, RN Child, or RM qualification.

The service offers a well developed, robust induction/preceptorship programme. You must be willing to undertake the Neonates North West Induction Programme, further Neonatal Care modules to become Qualified in Speciality and Mentoring in Practice. The unit also offers a successful band 6 development programme.

Although this is a full-time position applicants only wishing to work part-time hours will be considered.
