The Department of Psychological Medicine provides psychological services for people with acute and long-term health and neurological conditions across the North and North East Linconlshre and Goole NHS Foundation Trust. As part of an exciting restructure, the successful applicant will join the department to support the provision of specialist psychological services into the Neurorehabilitation Centre at Goole.
This is a diverse role that will be split between inpatient work on the Neurorehabilitation Centre at Goole, and the Community Psychology Specialism for Neurology and Rehabilitation Medicine in North East Lincolnshire. The post involves one-to-one working with inpatient and community patients, indirect work and support for family and friends, and liaising with service managers, clinical team leads and allied health professionals to support the provision of a specialist clinical psychology service on the neurorehabilitation unit and in the community. Multidisciplinary team working is a key part of this role and there are many opportunities to expand the way in which psychology is utilised on the unit and in the community.

Duties and responsibilities of the post holder
To support the provision of a specialist clinical psychology service for people with acute and long-term neurological conditions in North and North East Lincolnshire. To provide psychological and cognitive assessment; individual and group therapy; providing training and clinical consultancy to allied health professionals and medical staff, and people who support individuals with acute and long-term neurological conditions. In addition to this it is expected the post holder will utilise their research skills for clinical audit, and policy and service development within the wider department. The post holder will be expected to work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the Service and Trust policies and procedures.
