Specialist Surgery Directorate / Elective Orthopaedics

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Ward Manager to our Elective Orthopaedic Ward following retirement of the current post holder.

Ward 16 is a 12 bed, mixed sex elective orthopaedic ward and we are looking for a conscientious, customer and patient focused individual who wants to join and lead our team in delivering excellent standards of clinical care to our patients. If you can demonstrate courage and commitment and have strong managerial and leadership skills to support, communicate and deliver our vision of compassionate and competent care, then we want to hear from you.

The successful applicant must be a forward thinking and professional role model who is able to lead and motivate the nursing staff in the provision of high quality care and capable of fostering and building strong working relationships with all members of the multidisciplinary team.

We consider the Directorate to be an innovative, team orientated and creative environment for those nurses wishing to pursue a career in this area. Our patients deserve the best possible care, so help us deliver it.

We offer a period of induction, personal development plan and development opportunities supported and guided by a Practice Development Nurse. The post will be closed at the discretion of the appointing manager so early application is advised.
