Reporting Platform Engineer

As a Reporting Platform Engineer, you’ll be designing, building and scaling our next generation reporting platform, which supports the following:

·       Transaction reporting for quotes, orders, and executions

·        Supervisory and surveillance reports with alerting for potential rule violations and control failures

·        Risk limit calibrations (i.e., using reporting to drive market access controls)

·       Trading and client analytics (i.e., market share reporting and client-facing analytics)

·        Self service API

·       Legal and compliance query tools, facilitate regulatory inquiry requests

The building blocks are:

·       Common message format: To ensure consistency in data schema across flows and systems

·       Durable messaging platform (Kafka): To ensure scalability and data consistency across reporting and booking

·       Scalable container-based data pipeline for data validation, quality and exchange reconciliations

·       Centralized warehouse for transactional data, including quotes, orders, and executions

·        Monitoring for failed jobs and risk limits

·        Alerting and escalations, with clear ownership and accountability

·       Streamlined UI to monitor, alert, and amend data

Responsibilities

·       Design, build and support scalable data pipeline for ingesting, verifying, ensuring quality and ingesting data

·       Design and build a common warehouse schema to meet reporting needs by representing accurately data flows

·       Developed a container-based report execution environment, and scale it on globally distributed execution clusters

·       Build monitoring and alerting into the platform, and help teams leverage it for continuous visibility

·       Automated end-to-end report submission lifecycle, working closely with the reporting services teams

·       Work with the reporting services team to make sure the platform meets our changing reporting needs in terms of scale, security, visibility and high-quality execution

Qualifications

·        BS in Computer Science or other similar technical degree

·        A minimum of 4-6 years engineering experience related to large scale data and analytics platform development

·       Experience in using relational, non-relational, and streaming data

·       Databases: SQL Server and Snowflake

·       Languages: SQL and Python is required and C++ is a plus

·       Data streaming/queueing frameworks: Kafka

·       Containerization: Docker and Kubernetes

·       Financial Services experience, with regulatory reporting experience preferred (e.g., OATS, CAT, MiFID II, Blue Sheets, Supervisory Control Reports)
